As part of the investment team, I source and evaluate deals, and conduct deep-dive analysis into industries of interest. My professional experience is in VC and M&A at Blockchain Valley Ventures, and Business Development at Januar (one of our portfolio companies).

I hold a  Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance and Economics) from the University of Melbourne in addition to a MSc in Business Administration and E-business at Copenhagen Business School.

‍

After having started my career in the space, I had a deep conviction for the future of crypto as an internet-native asset class and its role in shaping the next paradigm of internet applications - web3.

‍

Additionally, I’m a highly purpose-driven investor, with a strong passion for impact-driven business models such as in climate tech and financial inclusion. 

‍

I play a key role in further implementing and developing our Impact-aware strategy consisting of integrating ESG and Impact throughout our investment process, portfolio management and fund management.

Outside of work, I’m an avid skier, photographer, and craft beer enthusiast.

‍

I’m based in the Copenhagen office.

While the team focuses on investing in the best and brightest minds and ideas, I’m responsible for creating and welcoming our founders, operators, and specialists into an optimized, helpful, mysig community.

‍

A professional juggler, I execute on our initiatives (like the founder coaching program), activities (like our annual flagship events), and act as a true advocate for our brand and culture and as a catalyst to our team and founders. I'm also our Editor-in-Chief and see to it that we elevate and carry our community stories across the ecosystem.

My background is in progressive coaching and supporting companies in scaling to the UK and US. I used to work on the creative teams of world-renowned FMCG companies before pivoting into the Nordic startup ecosystem.

‍

Personally, I think my passion for storytelling and community-building stems from a multicultural lifestyle - after all, Denmark is my seventh home. 

‍

I’m a "projectist" at heart so in addition to the day-to-day, I’m usually trying my hand at something, sometimes quite absurd, like performing in an 80’s pop choir or writing a cookbook with my grandmother.

‍

I graduated from Loyola University in Chicago with a degree in sociology, comms, and philosophy, and I hold a Diploma in Transformational Coaching from Animas Coaching Centre.

I’m based in the Copenhagen office.

I like people with character. People who observe critically, challenge things, and get their hands dirty to make a positive impact. Typically, these people are founders, and that’s why I ended up being a VC. 

‍

I want to invest in people who foster an insane passion for creating truly innovative solutions. I say “insane” purposefully because entrepreneurship is harsh, requires courage and resilience, and, let’s be honest: if you decide to go the VC backed way, you’re probably a bit nuts. And that’s why you have a shot at building something incredibly grand.

My favorite quote? They did not know it was impossible so they did it.

I nerd out on incentive design, so any new exciting business models will draw my attention (I’m also a firm believer of OSS and crypto).

I’m a bit of a nomad, avid explorer, and insanely curious. I love reading, writing, going to the theater, visiting art exhibitions, and attending magic shows. You can also meet me kitesurfing, bouldering or climbing aerial silks… if you dare.

I graduated from HEC Paris and CEMS, with an International Business Masters.

I’m a tech entrepreneur with more than 20 years of operational experience from Silicon Valley and Scandinavia. I was part of the early team at Skype and Tradeshift and I co-founded Memolane, which was acquired by HP.I believe that nurturing long-term success goes far beyond an idea that will disrupt a market, but rather deep into team dynamics and operational experience. By providing the next generation of founders with the support and network they need to succeed is key and it’s exciting that we’ve been able to set up a unique fund that does just that.

I began my journey at byFounders in the investment team, but now I focus on community and operations. I’m passionate about setting up and refining operational processes, and leveraging the byFounders community to create a comprehensive catalog of value-add offerings for our founders.

I’m in the process of completing a Master of Science in Digital Business at Copenhagen Business School, diving into areas like business model innovation, data science, and programming.

Previously, I engaged with Berlin's vibrant tech scene, including roles in the investment team of a German VC, the growth team at Danish scaleup, Pleo, and product and operations automation at an early-stage fintech.

I love strolling around art exhibitions, cooking with friends, reading, traveling, and diving.‍

As our Data & Impact Lead, I oversee our fund intelligence. This means that I provide data-driven insights to support our deal sourcing, due diligence, and external reporting. I also play a key role in our ESG and impact initiatives, offering guidance to our founders and upholding our commitment to external transparency. 

‍

I always feel at home in the startup ecosystem. Prior to joining byFounders, I co-founded Veriply, a FinTech startup dedicated to combating invoice errors and fraud. 

‍

This experience allowed me to build upon my existing background, which spans business administration, data science, and an ongoing sidekick of coding various applications.

‍

Backing up a little, my academic journey is marked by a Master's degree in Management of Innovation and Business Development from CBS, complemented by a full scholarship for UC Berkeley, where I studied entrepreneurship and built up my network in Silicon Valley.

‍

I have a soft spot for dogs (especially Boxers), enjoy playing board games, and love to travel. If you want to hear some great stories, ask me about my recent trip to Costa Rica and why I think that snakes are some of the most fascinating animals (besides octopuses and orcas).

I like technical stuff - stuff I struggle to understand and that sounds like a far-flung artifact from a utopian Type III civilization on the Kardashev scale. That generally means DeepTech, HealthTech, AI/ML, and Dev Tooling. I like it when founders have large scale, long-term ambitions that will change industries and worlds.

I joined byFounders in 2022. Before that, I led the data and product teams at Natural Cycles (a FemTech company making a birth control app), where I built deep learning models to predict fertility based on time series data.

‍

I also worked at the Boston Consulting Group in Australia and Switzerland for a few years, and during university I founded and ran a startup accelerator and co-working space.

‍

I enjoy hiking in the mountains, kitesurfing, and playing the Irish Bouzouki.

‍

I’m based in the Stockholm office.

I mainly focus on sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, building our internal investment theses and supporting our portfolio companies. I also play a key role in supporting our fund operations and portfolio management, as well as our data-driven VC efforts. 

‍

Growing up in Finland and Australia made me curious about the world, and fostered a passion for reading and exploring new places. I also love road cycling, running and bouldering, as well as occasionally hiking and surfing.

‍

Prior to joining byFounders, I played an active role in the Helsinki startup ecosystem, and tried out various advisory roles at companies like JLL, Nordea and Bain & Company. I hold a B.Sc in Finance from Aalto University.

I have spent a handful of years in VC and two handfuls in the world of technology and startups, building and selling bootstrapped companies and side projects in Denmark, Seoul, and Beijing.

‍

Earlier in my life, I was a professional online poker player, honing a skill set in game theory, math, and psychology - traits that translate surprisingly well to venture investing. I also published a book once.

‍

I’m intrigued by the craft of investing and a student of all aspects of it. So, in addition to leading investments and working with portfolio companies, I enjoy building fund models and tinkering with strategic considerations like portfolio construction and reserves management.

‍

I'm a big fan of bold entrepreneurs building companies on the frontier of technology and I specifically spend time in areas such as AI, climate tech, bits-to-atoms solutions, as well as vertical software.

‍

I hold a Master's in Political Science from Aarhus University and International Relations from Sogang University, Seoul.

‍

Outside of work, I spend most of my time playing with my son and daughter, and - if time and waves allow - mountain biking and cold water surfing.

I'm based in Aarhus.

I manage our Stockholm office but engage with Nordic and Baltic founders, wherever they are. Most of my time is spent with B2B startups and companies addressing large climate or health challenges. 

‍

Prior to byFounders, I spent a few years in tech, working with a couple of venture-backed startups in New York and Singapore. I’ve also spent some time on the “dark side” as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and as the manager of global strategy implementation at Danske Bank. 

‍

Over the years, I have also had the opportunity to work on a few passion projects including founding Sweden’s largest network for young entrepreneurs and working with social business models in Bangladesh.

‍

I hold an MBA from INSEAD and Wharton Business School, a Bachelor in Business & Economics from Stockholm School of Economics, and have had the pleasure to spend two years as a Kauffman Fellow.

‍

In my spare time, I nerd out on board games and spend as much time as possible outdoors (fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, you name it!). 

‍

I’m a firm believer that founders are the real heroes and that I, as an investor, have one job: to serve those heroes to the best of my ability. My goal is to be that one trusted advisor you can lean on, both in good and bad times. Because, after all, the startup journey is a roller coaster and I’m expecting nothing less.

As part of our investment team, I work with early-stage founders, particularly focusing on the Danish ecosystem. I have an industry-agnostic mindset with a ferocious interest in ideas and products that shape the future of consumers.

Prior to joining byFounders, I worked with European early-stage founders based out of Berlin. 

‍

I have a background in business administration with an intersection of fashion and design, and gained experience working with consumer brands and startups, such as Hamburg-based fair fashion startup Jan 'n June and international skincare brand Aesop. I hold an M.Sc. in Management from Católica Lisbon.

‍

I’m naturally drawn to how people think and feel, and how this can be expressed in writing and design. When you meet me, I’ll likely delve deep with some of my favorite questions, like what are you fascinated by that not many people notice or what’s a book that you pick up again and again… so be prepared!

Before we built byFounders, I successfully co-founded and exited three companies, including Libratone and Embedit, and built an extensive portfolio of angel investments individually and as part of the angel collective, Nordic Makers.

‍

I’m an active participant of the Danish tech and impact ecosystem through my involvement in several accelerators, incubators, and startup organizations. I’m the co-founder of the Industry Association for Tech Startups in Denmark. I led the Danish Government's Entrepreneurial Panel. And I’m a member of the 14th Climate Partnership.

‍

To contribute to the ecosystem by continuously working on how to improve the support of startups and the next generation of founders, is something very important and special to me.

My vast entrepreneurial and advisory experiences have instilled in me a robust understanding of business and operational management, which I today utilize to support the byFounders portfolio companies in driving long-term growth and success.
