byFounders Welcomes Cecilie Hoff as Communication and Event Lead

Below, Cecilie shares her thoughts on her journey, her guiding principles, and what she’s most excited to create at byFounders.

Can you share a bit about your personal and professional background and what drew you to communications and events in the first place?

I’ve always found myself drawn to the spaces where culture, people, and communication meet. I lived in New York, completed my Cand.merc.(kom) at CBS, and earned a Master’s in Creative Advertising from RMIT in Melbourne.

Professionally, I’ve moved across industries—managing artists abroad, leading comms in Copenhagen’s vibrant restaurant scene, and shaping brand narratives in fast-moving environments. The common thread has always been storytelling and connection. I love seeing ideas become shared experiences—moments that resonate and bring people together.

Venture felt like a natural next step. It’s fast, people-driven, and built around ideas with momentum. That’s the energy I’m drawn to.

What excites you the most about working at the intersection of communication, community, and entrepreneurship?

What excites me is the mix of pace, purpose, and people. Communication shapes the story, community brings it to life, and entrepreneurship pushes it into the world. Being at that intersection means no two days are the same—and I get to build things that matter, connect people who should know each other, and keep the momentum going. That is where I thrive.

What are the values or principles that guide how you approach your work?

I value clarity, creativity, and strong relationships. I like things that are well thought out but never overcomplicated. Whether it’s a message, a moment, or a relationship—I want it to feel genuine, intentional and a little unexpected.

What are you most excited to build or contribute to at byFounders?

I’m excited to build a strong and consistent brand presence through sharp communication and well-executed events. My goal is to make sure byFounders stands out, connects with the right people, and creates real value across the ecosystem. I’m especially inspired by the strong focus on founders and the genuine support given to their journeys—and I look forward to amplifying that through everything we communicate and create.

What makes a community truly vibrant in your eyes?

To me, a vibrant community is one where people feel they truly belong, openly share ideas, and support each other. It is about genuine relationships, active involvement, and creating a space where everyone feels encouraged to contribute.

What’s something you’re fascinated by that not many people notice?

I’ve always been fascinated by how people express themselves when they’re not trying to impress anyone—how they speak to someone they trust, how their face softens when they talk about something they love. It’s in those moments that you really get to see who someone is. I think that’s where the real connection happens.
